Saubhagya Yojna: Golden Opportunity to win 50 crores prize for government employees

Power Ministry will provide prize money of Rs 50 crore to the power distribution company, who is the first to deliver power to the home-office under the Saujagha Yojana, and is also contemplating giving prizes of 50 lakh rupees to its employees. The Prime Minister, Sahaj Her Power Project, ie Sauvagha Yojana, was started in September last year. The central government’s target of Rs 16,320 crore is to provide power to all the 3.6 million households by the end of December.
For this, the Ministry will create a variety of states based on the number of houses to be provided for power, geographical conditions etc. The prize will be given to the state that provides the first 100% target in each group. Power minister RK Singh said that we are working to promote and award state distribution companies to achieve target under goodwill. We will give a memento and a sum of Rs 50 lakh to the employee of the State Power Distribution Company, which fulfills the first goal in his state.
He further said that besides this prize, we will also award the winning distribution company and Rs 50 crore prize. The goal of this scheme is to encourage state distribution companies to compete with each other so that 100 percent electrification target can be completed.
